Law Enforcement Reminder: Drive
Sober or Get Pulled Over
McKenzie
County
– Beginning
December 18th, 2020 until January 31st, 2021, the McKenzie
County Sheriff’s Office will have extra patrols to remove impaired drivers from
the road.
In 2019,
42% of North Dakota motor vehicle fatalities were alcohol-related. Alcohol-related
crashes and DUI arrests are 100% preventable if every driver takes personal
responsibility and drives sober or plans to have a sober ride.
“Prevent a
tragedy in your life and the lives of others by designating a sober driver
before you go out,” said McKenzie County Sherriff Matt Johansen. “Help us meet
the goal of Vision Zero by driving sober or finding a sober ride.”
Drive
Sober or Get Pulled Over
is part of the
Vision Zero
strategy to eliminate motor
vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.
